I haven't had a player accept a deal below his demand. Perhaps someone with more experience has seen it?
I've never seen it in a FA contract or extension. The only time I've seen a player accept less than his demand was for a draft pick bonus. They guy had super-high demand and I couldn't afford him. So I just offered what I had over and over and over until he signed. This is most likely different than FA though.
