I dnt get how I am not qualified for a d- d1 job I have 200+ wins and some deep runs that seemed like enough to be qualified for d- d1 but I guess not thoughts?

Your reputation is probably poor.

Reputation or Loyalty must not be A+?

Everything has to be A+?

Your reputation does I think.  You definitely need As.

My rep is A

And my loyalty is a b

I'd say it's the loyalty plus trying to jump from D3, which is much more difficult.  You'll probably need more long term success at D3 to jump right to D1, but if you make a couple deep runs over the next 2 or 3 seasons and get your loyalty up, you'd probably be able to jump to D1.

I feel like sometime between the beginning of 2012 and now that they've "increased" the requirements/what it takes to get to D1...nothing was ever said, but it feels like it's harder now.

I know it's D3, but I think you should definitely be eligible for D1.

Problem is, with his program many d2 jobs are steps backwards. I too am uneligible for d1, for what it's worth, and in the same position.

He is better off staying in D3 and winning a few more seasons before he jumps to D1. If he moved to D2 his loyalty may still be an issue and it will stretch it out another few seasons.

That's it.  A note from the 12/1/11 update states: "Improved logic to calculate coach success to include more of a coach's history."  It's possible that this was affected by a later tweak as well, but there was a discussion of something like 10 year history having a scaled impact.   Another note stated "there will be less of a hit for a lateral type move."

So, the lateral move within D3 only 4 years ago is the big impact on loyalty and that is nixing your chances at jumping D3 to D1.  It's even possible that the earlier moves from Piedmont to Bowdoin to Greenville are considered in the algorithm.

I think the issue may also include coming off a 2nd-round loss... It's hard to move to d1 from d3 without either TONS of wins or a ton of recent NT success. I think he needs another Final 4 or maybe 2 consecutive to be able to move all the way up. And I'm OK with this.

I'm sorry, but my personal opinion is that resume is nowhere even close to being good enough to move from D3 straight to D1.  It's an okay little stretch, but D1 worthy?  No way, not even for D- prestige jobs.

I guess my question to the OP would be, what is it about that resume that would make you believe that it "should" be able to jump straight to D1 from D3?  Not being a smartass, legitimate question.
