Last Night
#11 Ozarks 39 #14 Emory 41
Ozarks got the ball with just ten seconds on the clock and down by 2. The refs called a controversial foul on the home team with just one second left to send Ozarks to the line. Unfortunately for them though, Robert Serio missed the front end of the one-and-one, the offensive rebound couldn't be put back in time, and Emory went into the halftime break with a slim 41-39 lead. Wait... that was the final score, not halftime? Oh, my bad. I guess that's what happens when both teams run slowdown, shoot under 40% from the field, and hit a combined 3-14 from 3. Emory and phalla's James Beers was the leading scorer in this offensive shootout with an impressive 10 points, as they stay atop their division and keep slowly climbing the rankings. Ozarks and spike fall back to .500 in the conference and slip just out of the top ten. And I look like a genius again by correctly predicting and Eagle victory. So smart.
Also considered: #20 Rhodes got past Centre 67-60, #19 Ramapo handled Montclair St. 67-58, Suffolk made a jumper as time expired to stun Rivier 51-49, and #18 Wittenberg cruised to a 71-49 win over Ohio Wesleyan.
Sim blowout watch: Methodist did a decent job of covering against #5 Piedmont 57-98 same as Hood against St. Mary's 55-85.
ITaLRbHAGotN: The Matthew Vassar ale was flowing deep into the night in Poughkeepsie, after Vassar opened up a huge lead in the first half and cruised in the second half to a 75-58 victory over Utica. Vassar and theriddler had three players in double figures and now hold a one game lead in the division and own the first tie-breaker. Utica and doc were lead by Leslie Schmucker's 17 points and completely awesome last name, but now they'll need some help to finish in first place.

Penn St. Altoona (14-4)(frankgrimes1) at #6 Susquehanna (17-2)(zeuspole)
The Lions of Penn St. Altoona trail the Susquehanna Crusaders by one game in the Commonwealth conference standings but this is the first of two meetings of these teams in the next three days. frank has a sizable lead in the head-to-head series at 37-19 but zeus' team at home is favored by 4 points. The division title will probably be decided in these couple games, round one is tonight.
Also considered: #20 Rhodes at #11 Ozarks, Southwestern at #2 Trinity, #7 Johnson and Wales at W. New England, Rivier at #10 S. Vermont, Greensboro at #17 Palm Beach Atlantic, and #21 Willamette at E. Oregon.
Sim blowout watch: Lincoln is a 57 point home dog as they host #1 Ursinus and Schreiner goes on the road against #4 Texas Lutheran, getting 46 points.

I couldn't decide between two games so let's just do them both.
Illinois Wesleyan (10-9)(bunting10) at Northland (17-2)(raucous)
Northland is 9-0 in conference play and this cross divisional matchup is one of two tricky-looking games left on the schedule. Illinois Wesleyan is a game off the lead in their division so a win here would help them stay in the race there. raucous has won all three games between these two coaches and the home team is favored by 13 tonight.
Mount St. Mary (12-6)(bstevens07) at US Merchant Marines (13-5)(lynchmob1)
Similar story here as the Mariners are undefeated in conference and this looks to be their most difficult game remaining. bstevens trails the series 4-10 and the visitors are getting 2 points tonight.
