Best world in HBD will enter season 29 at the end of July.   Not sure how many openings we'll have but two might struggle to hit the MWR over the last 25.

Requirements:
1350 HBD games played
No tanking years(108 losses)
At least two seasons with a current team
Thick skin

To elaborate a little:
If you're easily offended, don't bother.  And no one will care what offends YOU personally.   Dumbassery will be mocked. You will likely be called a 'tard for showing up. Non-dumbassery may get mocked. Prepare to be mocked. You will need to ask yourself a couple of questions. Answer them honestly because, if you say one thing and do another, your time in MG will be limited.

1. Would you accept 1.5m as the max amount of cash included in trades as long as it doesn't exceed the amount of salary being moved?
2. If you are looking to dump a BL salary, do you understand that you must receive current or future BL-quality in return?
3. Will you accept the following trade policy?

Trade policy

Deals that should be approved:
1. BL quality, current or future, for BL qualifty.
2. Minor leaguers to fill a positional need(same salary).

Deals that should be vetoed:
1. BL quality for minor league crap.
2. More than 1.5m in cash.
3. Unnecessary cash.
4. Collusive.
5. Lame duck owners.
6. Team destroyer(probably covered with the other rules).

We also have a minimum win rule.   55/125/195/280.  55 in any season, 125 in two consecutive seasons, 195 in three consecutive seasons and 280 in four consecutive seasons.

1.  carpediem33
2.  kjufbg
3.  schnoogens
4.  kjkmulli
5.

Sure.   The sub 50 win seasons.
There are two 48-win seasons from GW2 and one 41-win season from GW1.

In GW2 I took over a team in the first season of the world right after the preseason, and the previous owner had already executed trades that decimated the ML team.  This was also my first team ever.  So I "led" that team I was handed to a 48-win season and then again the next year after my first ever preseason.  Like many other new owners, I had no idea what I was doing despite reading articles like "how to rebuild a dynasty" and "what we've learned".

In GW1 I took over a team that had been absolutely decimated at the ML level by previous owners, winning 61, 63, 65, 65, and 48 games before I took it over.  I think this was my 3rd or 4th season of being an owner and still didn't exactly know how to pick up players from the scrap heap.  I also think the min win rules in GW1 contributed, which did not penalize a team for its first year performance, so there was no incentive to scramble for more wins.  Now I'm experienced enough to know that this is a bad rule because time and again when a new owner enters the world it is abused, which is why I want a world that doesn't offer any excuses for not meeting the min win rules and does not offer breaks to new owners.  I no longer am a full time owner in GW1 because of this and I hang onto my GW2 team only because it was my first.

Since then I've had a solid track record in multiple leagues and I've often been willing to take over abandoned teams with sometimes awful conditions to set them straight for the next full time owner without worrying about the overall W-L record that gets added to my personal record.  In most cases the teams end up finishing in a respectable place even after navigating through 0(0) pitchers.

This league, with its rules, are exactly how I like this game to be played.

Sounds too logical and well thought out.

Yeah, I'd have to make sure he gets a NL team.  Way too thoughful for the dumbasses in the AL.  The AL owners feel like they've had a good day if they didn't wet their pants more than once.

Listed.

Please put my name on your list,  Godfather Mike.  I qualify under the "Is Not Easily Offended Rule".  And,  as you already know,  I make for pleasant,  stimulating and provocative chat.  Further,  I can hold the commissioner of this tired,  old world to his mettle.  Thank you for your consideration.

Mike neglected to mention that we have SCREAMING FRIDAY every week.  Expect for the dumbasses who forget to scream.  Then, WE SCREAM AT THEM FOR BEING DUMBASSES!!!

Not to be overly rude but you've got a couple of really bad seasons and I thought you despised me.    I can get past the latter but you'll need to explain the former.

There's already 31 in there that despise you.
7/4/2013 11:03 AM
That's why I can get past it so easily, dumbass.

Well,  Mr. Mike,  I know you're the Godfather of HBD and all,  and are one of WIS's most valued employees,  and are busy and time-challenged in your capacity as Uberreichmarshall of WIS Gestopo and CEO of the HBD Thought Police;   but if you could spare 90 seconds of your invaluable time looking at my actual HBD history you would see that I am a rebuilding specialist.  I enjoy playing this game by taking over wreaked franchises and getting them back on track.  (Thus,  as with any turnaround artiste, my winning percentage looks bad.  [Or,  as you would put it,  my winning percentage "sucks balls".]).  And God knows there are some franchises in the peerless Moonlight Graham World that need turning around.  Therefore,  in that sense,  I'm just the man Moonlight Graham needs.

As to the fact that you and I loathe and despise one another -  isn't that too a selling point?  Surely you don't think Moonlight Graham has cornered the market on smart alecs, insult artists,  and fulltime haters?  But,  should I be admitted to your august world,  you would be one,  giant step closer to said corner.  That's your goal isn't it?  (In addition,  of course,  to having fun with the actual HBD game -  time permitting.)

Then (my final sales point) there's the fact that,  if you don't admit me,  everyone will just think you're chicken,  can't handle my heat.  But no pressure,  Godfather.  Since when did you care what people think of you?  Happy Alleged Independence Day!
7/4/2013 11:54 AM
Well, that was long-winded and decidedly uninteresting.

Let's say I overlook Ryan where you took a bad team and made it worse.    But Cochrane is still questionable.   You won 41 games in your 2nd season while slashing payroll.   That looks like a tankjob.   And you didn't really turn it around before you left.   Your rebuttal?

As for the last paragraph in that book, if I don't care what people think of me, why would I care if everyone thinks I'm chicken?

Hey,  I'm not here to add to your burdens,  Mikey.  As your mother reminds you every day;  "Have it your own way,  Honey."
