Guys, I am kind of busy for the next 2 weeks and we have one owner not available betweem 9/1 and 9/19 for a draft.

If we have not filled by the end of the labor day weekend (9/2), I will address alternatives. I can see 2 possibilities:

1. We allow owners to have two teams. I am willing to take one if someone else also takes a 2nd team.
     bnicarlson has voiced opposition to this, but as a means of getting the league going I think it may merit consideration. Trades between two teams with the same owner would be prohibited.

2. We reduce the league to 12 teams.
     My objection to this solution is that only 2 teams will qualify for the playoffs. On the other hand, the shortage of IP's would go away.

12 teams would be good during the war years and we could draft AAA players for deeper benches. We could expand to 16 teams later. This would be also eliminate the need for 1900's pitchers on roster

I am leaning towards the 12 team league. Expansion later to 16 teams is a difficult process, but we'll definitely want to do that as soon as there are sufficient IP's.

Yes, with only 12 teams there will be no need for 1900's pitchers as the 20,128 IP's spread over 12 teams is 1,677 per team (for 16 teams it was only 1,258 per team).
