The Cars League - FULL Topic

No, not the band... specifically, the vehicles you have owned/leased over the years.  Ironically, this idea came to me during a saturday morning bicycle ride.

Take any 5 vehicles you have had over the years (if you can't come up with 5, use your parent's vehicles) and draft 5 players from each model year - (need to have 5 different years).  Here's my 5:

1966 Mustang - 289 small block, 3 spd on the floor - Dad bought it for $550.00 & I paid him $50/month when I was 18
1969 VW Camper - pop top - many trips to Eastern Washington going 25 mph up Snoqualmie Pass
1988 Dodge Caravan - The family truckster
2004 Chevy Impala - My wife's current ride
2005 Ford Ranger - My current truck, has just over 40K miles mostly because I commute to work by bicycle.

I'm going to limit the years to post WWII - 1946-2012.  Please post your vehicle make/model/year when signing up.

Oh what fun finn2030!

1981 Plymouth Reliant - Learned to drive a stick on the original K car.  Complete with bullet holes in the door!
1990 Oldsmobile Cutlass Sierra - Drove my date to prom in 1994!
1993 Honda Accord - Bought this car from my brother and was the only good hand me down I ever got from him!
2000 Saturn - Still own this car and use it for commuting and not to impress the ladies.
2003 Lincoln Navigator - Pretty smooth ride for a huge SUV but don't like filling it with premium...:(

1971 Impala
1994 Chevy Impala SS (looked like the batmobile and put 148k miles on the stock 'vette LT1 engine it came with b4 trading it in for a,
1999 Caddy STS with the 300 HP Northstar engine
2003 VW Pheaton (remember those?)  I had the second one in CA.  Perhaps the biggest financial mistake of my life was leasing a $70,000 VW !

1988 Honda Prelude (best car I ever owned);

1975 AMC Pacer. my first car! the Fishbowl.
1985 Pontiac Fiero. sleek exterior covering a piece of junk.
1995 Honda Civic CX. It got 50 mpg. why don't they make 'em like that any more?
2000 Toyota Echo. most economical car ever. 300,000 miles and no problems.
2006 Scion xB. the Toaster.

Welcome ziba, Got_Worms & redwingscup!

'81 Reliant... the original K-Car?
Yep you got it finn2030!  I learned to drive a stick on this car which was nearly impossible to get into first gear.  It even had a couple bullet holes in the door.  I pictured it being in the Sabotage video by Beastie Boys!

1963 Ford Falcon - and so I says to my dad, "Hey, where's my car?". To which he replies, "I had it towed five months ago." . To which I reply "Guess you were right,...I did lose interest in putting lipstick on that pig."
1976 Chevy Monte Carlo - my second car. This pig didn't need lipstick, this was a scary-fast vehicle.
1978 Chevy Monza Spyder -given to me by my buddy Rich after he twisted my scary-fast Monte around a utility pole.
1983 Oldsmobile Cutlass - I got busy with my buddy Rich's ex-girlfriend in the backseat. Please don't think less of me for it.
1999 Dodge Caravan - the vehicle that I drove my baby, Zoe, home in. (Neither Rich, nor his ex-girlfriend, were involved.)

Hey I use the TaylorMade Monza Spyder putter!

Welcome rbow & dodgebob!

The Pacer was an odd design... and backseat confessions are good for the soul.

1964 Chevrolet Nova Station Wagon - Straight 6 with a glide. The ultimate high school cruiser.
1967 Oldsmobile Vista Cruiser - Yanked the 330 and replaced it with a 455 that probably put out close to 500 horse. I miss this car.
1973 Chevrolet Camaro - Rust bucket. A failed attempt at teaching myself to do body work.
1990 Chevrolet Sprint - I needed something that got better than 12 MPG.
2001 Honda CRV - When I became a daddy.

I'm a little peeved that finn disallowed my 1940 Oldsmobile Business Coupe...

Ha!

Not included... 1967 Dart, 1966 El Camino, 1972 Chevelle, 1969 Cutlass, 1962 F-85, 1977 Camaro, 1984 S10... Yowzers...
