I've always thought a good cutoff date would be 1893, when pitchers moved back 10 feet 6 inches. 1894 was a huge hitters year for that reason, then you see the hitting stats go down again into the deadball era. It took managers a while to realize they were burning pitchers out with 400+ IP.
There could be a rule that if we ever ran out of players on a team, the commish could do a random throw of the available teams and pick a new team.
I think this is accurate...my apologies for going off- I'll delete my posts. Congrats to those who had nice selections to choose from throughout the Draft & didn't get screwwed in the last critical rounds missing out on a chance to get useable key players & have been screwwed...for those that did- I feel ya...welcome to the not so fun side of UNO. I thought INCREASING the amount of split teams would help create more positive player options late. I never anticipated 2-3 go **** yourself rounds at the critical stages late where some of us really needed some key starting players & only had useless garbage to chosse from.........
