EEs are a pain and it is very frustrating to see the pool of NT contenders determined by a fairly random act.
Improvements to EEs could include:
1) Decrease the likelihood of each successive EE. That makes it harder for a team to get completely gutted.
2) Add a note in evals that indicate a player will leave early. This would be skewed towards 4-5 stars, but also some 3, 2, or 1 stars as well. Current logic can be used to determine if they leave after their FR, SO or JR years, but they won't be in college for a SR season. This may also lead to increased battles among elites, as there is a greater incentive to go after that 5 star who'd stay 4 seasons.
3) Add an assistant coach email that comes with the draft results at rollover that lists potential EEs. This way coaches can recruit to mitigate potential impact. This can also free up some better recruits, perhaps an A+ goes after a 4 star G because they may need one next season, leaving a 5 star PF who will then sign with an A- or B+ conference mate, strengthening their team.
