tarheel...i was thinking lebron>wilt for this league because of the consistency of the seasons...with wilt you have to decide between support wilt and scoring wilt...not to mention hes the only player who really could give you serious cap problems

But Wilt is in the hands of an elite owner ;-)

There are about five great support Wilts to build a team around; 2 of them are #1-pick worthy and the other three are all pretty good, too. Then you have a couple scoring Wilt seasons to try after that (or in between). It's not like you're going to be able to put together an elite 52-mil team for five straight seasons in which all the seasons are consistent. I don't really think you can go wrong with Lebron or Wilt, but I'd take the big fella cause his best couple seasons are untouchable.

I was very tempted to go with Wilt. I've never built a team around him. The deciding factors were LeBron's lower salary and flexibility. I can take the next best available player (probably the next 2 or 3) without concern for position effectiveness. I also can't stand missed free throws.

Recall though that a guy will end up with more FGA and (far) fewer FTA than IRL.   So I never put much emphasis at all on FTA or FT%.

Yeah, I understand. It's my semi-irrational pet peeve for basketball. I'm much more experienced in baseball and freak out when I have a player caught stealing a base. Even in a win.

Will the lower free throw thing play out in this league? I've never played in an exclusive player league. I'm looking forward to it.

On the basketball sim you don't even get close to FTA's drafted. But I have seen teams go down to low FT% in the PO's.

If a player is traded does the new owner get to use any of his seasons?

any that haven't been used already, yes (dh can confirm - but pretty sure that's the intent)

I would also assume any that have not been used yet.  Otherwise, what would the point of trading be?
