I wanted to do a progressive/regressive that spans almost the entire database of WIS. So we will progressing 1885 and Regressing from 2013.
In the initial year we will pick teams instead of drafting all 25 players. Pick a team you want in the forum from the 1885 or 2013 seasons. Once all teams are in we will have a stadium draft in reserve order of teams that selected their team first. Draft order will be based on winning % of teams selected. In case of a tie we will select it by winning % at home. Once those are selected we will have a draft to fill out the rest of the roster. You must keep at least 10 players from that team. so maximum 15 round draft.
In subsequent seasons we will have a draft of the new rookies/retirees and players not selected from previous seasons. The draft will only be 7 rounds from year to year to limit players to be selected. If you do have enough players with the 7 draft picks and keepers you will be assigned a 200K that will not be able to be used. At the 120 game mark is when the lottery for the first 4 picks are decided. you must have at least 35 wins to qualify.
Teams: 24 (I'd love to get 30 but i don't think that is possible)
AAA: 6/2 below average (for trading only)
No Salary Cap
No WW
Yes: DH
Trading will be allowed in season for players and draft picks for the same or next season only. Trades during the season will utilize the trade function. If takes 6 votes of no to veto a trade. If trading for a draft pick you can trade a AAA player. This player cannot be used.
No max of players on the IR if they have Missing WIS seasons.
Please use City/Nickname for team name. You can use any City/Team name you want. Example: Mississippi Mudcats
I just plan on randomizing the league to determine leagues teams are in unless owners what to play with other owners they have rivalries with from other leagues.
We will have a stadium draft after every 4 seasons for teams interested in moving. Sign up below if interested.
Players that played for more than team work as such. 2013 teams they ended with. 1885 teams they started with.
I will pick 10th
http://www.baseball-reference.com/ good place for looking at teams
