Here it goes, this is my Top 20 (22) based on returning players only, don't know that there's going to be a huge change as almost all these teams have at least 8 returning players (most 10+). Thrown together quickly so there might be some obvious mistakes.

awesome to see someone write their own!  I fully agree Union will be the team to beat, they just look so good.  Expect a final four out of them.  Probably throw in CNU too.  After that it gets a bit harder, Greensboro looks really good and balanceed, and aejones looks like he's got a really good team especially a super talented frontcourt..  A team like Wisconsin Lutheran could do some damage especially with a bunch of jr's.

here is the top 10 RPI's jtt now with his first batch of recruits as seniors showing some strong ability, if he can keep this up very good chance of getting a top seed.  Top 10 SOS in non conf before playing in the toughest conf means it should be top 5 if not top 3 come seeding time.

Meandean doing amazing for a losing record should make up for the wins come conf play.  Very tough schedule

Conf wise USA South is stacked, almost .1 ahead of the next.

FDFH is top sim at RPI #11 SOS 24 and 1 loss

MIDSEASON REPORT

Final Four Predictions:

Union 8-2 | WIS #3 | RPI 2 | SOS 2

A favorite among peers to go far, Union expects to return to the final four for another spectacular season.  And so far this season they have shown us why they were picked WIS #1 with wins over RPI teams 5 and 9, Union's only two losses come against #1 Menlo and another final four caliber team in NCWC, however could this show a weakness?  Both Menlo and NCWC run a FB/FCP combo, avoiding a similar matchup would be key.

Expected finish 23-3 (15-1)

Yeshiva 9-1 | WIS #5 | RPI 4 | SOS 16

After their final non-conf game Yeshiva dropped from the top RPI spot from facing a Sub 350 school.  However this is a talented squad holding wins over #5,7, and 30 ranked RPI teams and it's only loss to a top level Howard Payne(RPI 33) by 2 points.  Yeshiva boasts 5 juniors giving them good depth for their press.  Offensively teams have been having trouble stopping SR SG Richard Grant who is putting up 24 ppg on nearly 50% from the field  and 46% from 3.  Yeshiva's biggest obstacle will be their empty conf that should wreck their SOS causing them to be seeded lower than they deserve meaning any match beyond the 2nd round will come against elite talent.

Expected finish 25-1 (16-0) 

Menlo 10-0 | RPI 1 | SOS 12

Affvid has this team running to the same tune as last season where they were outed in the final four.  Menlo kills you with their great 3 point shooting and high volume of 3's taken in this fastbreak offense.  In a battle of elite teams, Menlo ran away from Union 91-77 hitting 16 3 pointers, Menlo looks to be my tourney favorite right now.

Expected Finish 26-0

Greensboro 9-1 | RPI 19 | SOS 98

Another team led by a great coach is Greensboro, who will endure the nations toughest conf which they went 13-3 in last season on their way to an Elite 8 appearance.  This is a top shelf defensive team currently holding opponents to 51.6 ppg.  On offense this is a hot shooting team with their average at 51.4% and  SR guard Ruben Knapp is blessed with elite physical abilities making him very hard to stop.

Expected finish 23-3 (14-2)

That conference is ridiculous, and I agree with Menlo's dominating performance against Union they're my new favorite, but I still have CN in the final 4!!

I was to quick to put NCWC instead of CNU which was probably not a good idea, NCWC is good, however CNU is just top notch again this season

Wow with only the Conf. Title games left to play the projected 5 seeds are Union, CN, Cal. Tech, and Methodist!!! Winning the top half of the bracket in any region is looking to be a tough assignment!!
