Relievers typically don't get drafted very high, unless they are connected to some stud teammates. Their salaries don't really scare anybody.
Brickyard Kennedy was a 12x12 guy. I think Earl Whitehill was the first 16x16 "screw everybody's salary pitcher" to be selected. Some people ended up having to include Whitehill in their rotation. I'll leave it up to the audience to check out Whitehill's seasons.
