Jobs available in DII CVAC - Iba Topic

For many seasons, Iba's CVAC conference has been one of the two dominant conferences in DII Iba - but with a few coaches leaving, there have been some rough seasons.

Come on by and help restore the CVAC to its former glory! There are 7 active coaches still sticking around.

There are 5 openings. Belmont Abbey is the top  choice IMO. These options are listed from best to worst IMO.

- Belmont Abbey (C+) - definitely the best opening. There are 9 human-recruited players that will be returning. The school has had very good coaches, so there is some talent, but you can make your mark with 3 openings.

https://www.whatifsports.com/hd/TeamProfile/Ratings.aspx?tid=6226 - Pfieffer (C+) - 4 openings, 5 human recruited players returning.  Pfieffer was once one of the top  squads in CVAC, so winning can definitely happen there.

https://www.whatifsports.com/hd/TeamProfile/Ratings.aspx?tid=6217Anderson (D+) - 5 openings, another rebuild, but with the opening slots, you can do something with this school.

- Barton (D+) - 2 openings,  definitely a rebuild. \\

- Mt. Olive (D+) - 3 openings, definitely a rebuild. They've struggled for a while.

Cool zorzii - yeah, both Pfieffer and Bel Abbey are very good jobs, the other 3 are kind of the perennial bottom 3 of the conference. Hope you get the job.

Yeah, I saw it. But it's more about schollies than rep for me. I checked South Dakota St. Nice place to land too.

I might make a two-year plan to get to Mt. Olive. All depends on if there is a DIII team available after the job period that I think I can turn into a tourney team so I don't have to swallow the whole cost of a season.

Hopefully someone takes over Belmont Abbey! I left someone very good players there.

It's probably an obvious answer based on your post, but if you take over a new program and immediately cut current players, you don't get scholarship money for that open scholarship right?

Correct.

However, if a player transfers at season's end, you will get scholarship money for that guy.

I don't think SDS has a great nucleus, they've been sim for a couple seasons now. I was more a fan of the prestige level being inherited, as it would/will make recruiting that first class easier.
