Bist ... you think the tone of that post of yours ISN'T 'coming across very hostile'?  Read it.

My response to the0nlysis, yes, perhaps because he set the tone. My original post, no, I don't think it does.

Bistiva aren't you the guy that says hd doesn't need an app? I don't necessarily disagree with you here but you are obviously someone who is very resistant to change
I said I'd rather those working to improve HD work on something other than an app. As I acknowledged, there are some areas which may be tweaked to improve things, and in my opinion those should come before work on an app.

This is especially true considering those things would potentially benefit EVERYONE, while an app certainly would not benefit everyone.

It's not that I'm resistant to change as a rule. I am, however, resistant to changing something that is - by and large - fine as it is. Change for the sake of change is very rarely a good thing.

Until we see the roll out, it's contempt prior to investgation.

In other words, how about we see the changes before deciding not to like them?

Because we like the game as is ... and aren't looking for major changes.

THIS EXACTLY.

Don't fix what isn't broken. Period.

Its about the policy of the changes.

it cleary is an attempt to remove the rewards for successful teams so that unsuccessful teams can recruit better. Socialism at its best/worst.

I think post season cash is dumb I'm glad they're getting rid of it.

Its clearly not an attempt to remove the reward for success.

It's an attempt to make winning with a mid-major more akin to real world college basketball.  While still keeping elite schools elite.

You rarely ever see a non big 6 school get past the 2nd round, in real life we actually have non big 6 teams advance in the tourney and at points go pretty far every year even if it's one or two teams.

Pretty sure that is not State ownership of the means of production.

cmac- No problem at all helping you out man. Like several guys have given me solid advice in this game, I really like to pass on what I know to newer guys to make the game more competitive. Thats what its all about for me. I really enjoy the camaraderie with conference mates and many other great coaches in HD. Glad to see your doing well!

Yes, but I bet that the successful teams will continue to be successful because they are usually coached by people that devote a lot of time to the game. They will probably find a way to win no matter what the changes are. I usually do well at this game, but I really want to see some changes because I like new challenges, and I like to see more realism. I think that everyone who cares should volunteer to be a beta tester because that's when we will all get to really see how this is going to work.

I see it in Smith every year already. Without the aid of this new patch. Not sure what world you are looking at.

3 non b6 schools advanced to the 2nd round and 1 to the S16 this season. already way under the data I provided about real life NT stats

7 in S81 to 2nd round and 1 to the S16

5 in S80 to the 2nd round and 3 to the S16(and a one seed pretty amazing by drsnell)

8 in S79 to the 2nd round and 2 to the S16

so in the past 4 seasons Smith averages 5.75 to the 2nd round which is about half less than the real life (granted 10 seasons compared to 4) and avg of 1.75 to the S16 again much lower than real life.

And I would assume the rest of the worlds are even lower, so your example of mid majors going far is already much lower than real life and involves a very very elite D1 coach at Texas Southern who can't even get an A/A+ prestige with E8 and S16's the majority of the time which is absurd.

So it's clear adv for the big 6 and your best example of non big 6 going far is already about half as real life and involves super human efforts by a few coaches who can't even reach maintain A- or higher prestige.

I'll give you some props you won a D1 NC at Eastern Illinois but it was in the early seasons(was their even potential then?) so idk how non big 6 worked.  But you cannot say there is any resemblance of real life for midmajors.

I agree with the original post - I'm an owner that would like to see smaller tweaks as opposed to an overhaul.
