Getting multiple recruits over 600 is fairly normal (FYI I have 5), I do pull down from D2 but I don't think any of those guys are, just high potential guys, look at their starting ratings. There are plenty of teams that have multiple guys over 600. Also you should not be focusing on overal rating, it's about core stats.
This is a team with 6 guys over 600 and a couple more that are close

This is the best PG I have had, he is still on my team

This is my FAVORITE player I have ever had, especially at D3, he is a great shooting guard that could play the PG , he could effectively score in bunches

those are two guys that you should shoot for in a guard, especially when you want a scoring guard.
When people say you can sacrifice some ratings to get an effective played here is an example

He has a low DE, maybe a little too low, but he is 80+ in speed, Stamina and PE, and 70+ in BH and P. He was High in DE when I got him but he went red right away, kind of dissapointing.
Look at some of my other players, my team isn't great, mainly because I am not a fantastic coach, but I think it's more attainable than most other teams that people will show you.
