Quick Q: New DIII coach. Trying to pull down a DII player. Currently only considering us with Moderate interest. Player wants to sign Early. Any chance he signs in the 1st session? Or will he wait till session 2, even though he wants to sign early?
Players one division higher than you can’t sign until RS2. Players 2 divisions higher can’t sign until the last 24 hours.

I’ve come back to this original post SEVERAL times per season since 3.0 was unveiled. Well done

"The credit stays on that player, even if attention points are then shifted to another player in the following cycle."

Does this mean if I'm leading with someone I won't hurt my chances if I shift the AP to another player?

However, I assume to keep building towards unlocks I must keep something on that player? Must I increase to unlock more or simply remain with some AP focused on them

It won’t hurt the credit you have on a player, if you have a large lead on a player and a scholarship eventually he’ll accept your scholarship if no one else goes after him. Although it makes it easier for coaches to steal players if you have 0 AP on a player for multiple cycles.

To unlock recruiting actions it’s all done as a percentage. Each player will have several factors that affect how many AP you must put in to unlock things, such as school prestige/Division and player projected level and ratings. Once you’ve put AP on a player it’ll show percentages to unlock certain items. If you have 5 AP into a guy and a Campus visit 5% unlocked it’ll take 100 AP total to unlock it, it doesn’t matter how many AP per cycle.

__________ _________ __________

If you get meticulous & compulsive about these numbers like I do, the % unlocked in HD is a rounded number. 5%, therefore = 4.51 to 5.49 %.

If you had 5 AP into a guy and a CV shows 5% unlocked, it would take 92-111 total AP to unlock it.

Don’t want to start a new thread, so I’ll just ask here and hope it gets answered…

Does one year in D3 qualify you for D1 jobs now? I would love to pick up 2 teams but don’t want to spend more than a season in D3/D2.

Check out my resume in Wooden for a look at what's possible with minimal success. I got to D1 after one D3 and one D2 season, both ending in NT berths.

The D1 job I got showed as "Not Qualified" but I lucked out.

Here are the numerical equivalents of the letter grades you will see in Levels 1 to 3 of scouting:
Numerical Equivalents of Letter Grades:
A+ = 85+
A = 80-84
A- = 74-79
B+ = 69-73
B = 64-68
B- = 58-63
C+ = 53-57
C = 48-52
C- = 42-47
D+ = 37-41
D = 32-36
D- = 26-31
F+ = 21-25
F = 16-20
F- = 0- 15

My apologies if this is somewhere else; but do these apply to all recruits? Is a B on a DIII recruit the same as a B on a DI recruit (let's say at Level 2 scouting).

Thanks for this great resource!

From what I understand, the letter grades are the same across all recruits. In fact, the only real difference between DI, DII, and DIII recruits is simply what level of team they are "projected" to play for. They are all rated on the same scale, though. It's just that the DIII recruit is more likely to have lower grades than the DI recruit (in general).
