Someone asked a question? I'm confused.

there are plenty of websites that tell you the distance between two cities - they are rather good for this purpose

a more accurate approach is to use the recruiting function in the game. Assuming you are already at one school, one can find out the HD distance to the other school by looking at a recruit from that town.

No real reason to cut it close - just pick schools on opposite coasts. IF one wants to have two in a world - for some reason - and IF WIS doesnt crack down on that practice.

Here's the one to use. Don't use a road map, like google maps, because it will overestimate the actual distance. You want distance "as the crow flies". For example, google maps will tell you Minneapolis is just under 1200 miles from Atlanta; but in flight, it's less than 900, so for game purposes, that would be a violation.

Do you know how many states is a 1,000 miles? For right now I would have to chose a division 3 team and work my way up to a high major school. Or just take back Chowan but I don't know.

Do you use the same username to get the 2nd team or do you have to use alt id's?

Miles is in Alabama, so you pretty much can't go south or east. Maybe like CT and up if you go NE. If you go west is probability everything past Texas. There are three west coast conferences in d3, I would suggest looking there.

There is this team in the California conference I am thinking about rebuilding and staying there to get my division 2 win mark tally up.

Just because you don't like an answer or the comments, does not mean that they aren't on topic.

Try to sign up for two teams in the same world under 1 account. You will be blocked. The way around that is to create a second account. Then the 1000 mile rule applies to any complaint made against you for cheating using the unfair advantage that you *might* have gained.

There are 10 worlds. I don't even begrudge the creation of an ALT, but why not sign up in a different world? Please explain what you think you gain?

keep in mind, admin has taken the view that ANY overlap of recruiting efforts by two teams under common control in a world is a violation - both teams cannot touch the same player

that means, even more so in 3.0 with discovery, that one must take care not to overlap

and of course one must take care not to use information from one team for the other
