What if you just gave 2 bonus points for making playoffs and then 1 bonus point for each series.

rewards teams who make the playoffs and teams who advance each round.

I would go even a little more radical. How about giving owners points based on average Wins / Team. Are guys that have 5 teams and 1 Wins a title and 4 do crappy better than a guy who has two teams, both make playoffs but neither Win a title? I would say one guy got 5 chances and the other got 2.

Fully agree with starting each round at ZERO.

Everybody has the same number of teams. Six in round 1. Top 24 owners advance, they will have 6 more teams in round 2
