Not as many as I thought.

So it's primarily Federal League, a few 19th-century teams, and any team that moved. I really wasn't sure how defunct was being defined here.

Not enough teams which means at this salary level, there will probably be too much roster duplication. May save this idea for a round 2 lower cap option.

Avg and Flamethrowers vs. Sluggers and Deadballers

Team can be built in one of two ways (must comply with one set of rules)

Option #1: Avg and Flamethrowers

All hitters must have a batting average over 0.300 and a SLG <= 0.450.
All pitchers must have a HR/9 of >= 0.80.
Eligible Ballparks: Target Field, Municipal Stadium, Astrodome, Petco Park, Palace of the Fans, AT&T Park

Option #2: Sluggers and Deadballers

Team must have hit a minimum of 300 HRs.
Any hitter that hits less than 30 HR must have a batting average <= 0.270.
All pitchers must have a HR/9 of <= 0.20.
Eligible Ballparks: Coors Field, Yankee (III) Stadium, Atlanta Fulton County Stadium, Bennett Park, Kingdome, Great American Ball Park

One of my favorite themes of schwarzes (probably because I won one of them) was having a particular franchise season such as the 1929 Athletics or the 1969 Orioles and replacing 5 players on a team for four years. Since this will be a one year theme I suggest we choose a franchise like the 1998 Rockies and replace 7 players for that team. All teams must use the same team with the base teams home park.

Tag Team Turmoil
You must roster 12 pairs of real life teammates (same team and season). Your 25th player can be anyone, but CANNOT be from the same team as any of your other 24 players. When choosing your pairs, you must select 12 distinct team/season combinations (i.e. you cannot select more than two players from a given team).

Salary Cap: $120M.
Seasons: Any season
DH: No
Ballpark: Must use a stadium that one of your pairs of teammates played in during the season you select (CANNOT use the ballpark of your wild card player).

Are you just going to pick a theme, or will you put a few up for vote?

redcped, ronthegenius and I will put our heads together and if we have a consensus choice, we will select that theme. If we can't come to a mutual agreement, then we may put our 2-3 favorites to a vote.

I like the Tag Team Turmoil as well.

Would like to suggest all 12 pairs as well as the 25th player come from a different decade if jtpsops doesn't mind.

Your team must be selected entirely from prior to 1955 season, or 1955 and thereafter. All pre-1955 teams must have a park HR factor of at least +1
and all post-1955 teams must have a park factor of at least -1.

I would also say that no matter what the theme we choose, the cap should be 130 million or higher to slot the theme in between the 110m cap and the largely unlimited cap 255m in the last theme.
