IDK how much of an advantage picking first in the $160m league is, but I think it would make more sense to let the lowest ranked team go first in the 1st round rather than randomizing

Looks like a nice group. Inasmuch as I finished 44 games out of the playoffs last year, I'm going to hold off on pouring a lot of time into making rosters but maybe we'll get lucky and get on a run. We're only 10 games out after 318 games.

Actually, if someone who doesn't make Round 2 wants to, they could just run individual leagues with these themes to see how they shake out for the rest of us.

That has often been done in the past (running individual leagues based on the round 2 themes, open to all of WIS)

Heck, a couple folks are running some of the Round 1 themes right now. So even if we don’t organize it deliberately, it’s likely to occur organically.

I doubt there is any advantage to picking 1st. If an expensive player is taken with the top pick, that means that person is probably drafting last in the subsequent rounds, until that person drafts a cheaper player.

Pretty stoked for the low cap leagues, even if they’re not my specialty, but I’m dreading any and all draft leagues. If it’s a league that requires research, I usually push it off to one day, but drafts where many people are waiting on me every day…sheesh

I have been working on my $60M league on and off for days. I hate it. Have no idea how many innings to draft. I keep running out of salary, with like 5 spots left to fill.

The $160M draft should be a piece of cake. It's only 4 people per draft, and everybody is available. We should easily get at least 3 rounds per day (12 picks).

I hate and despise low caps as well. But, my 70m team is my best so far this round and in the past my low cap teams have also done well in this tourney. Still hate them, though, and I find them the most difficult to build.

I've started the 80M and 110M so far. I have no clue about the 60M or even how to start on that one, having played that cap just once.

The nice thing is the 120M is one you could already have built (or mostly anyway, and besides you are down to only two options) and the 80M only has two possible permutations so it cuts down on the number of rosters you might build there.

That means there's only 3 that require more intense work at this stage since you really can't do much preparation for the draft.

I started building mine and promptly went into a tailspin and fell out of the cage. Maybe I should hold off a bit

My $60m, $80m and )120m are done (if I need em).

I think the draft will take much longer than that. Getting 24 owners to make Multiple picks a day can be a hard ask.

That's why you have a timed schedule. I don't think this is unreasonable at all. You know when you are up, and if you can't be online to make your pick, you send a proxy.

10 am - pick 1
11 am - pick 2
12 pm - pick 3
1 pm - picks 4-5
3 pm - pick 6
4 pm - pick 7
5 pm - picks 8-9
7 pm - pick 10
8 pm - pick 11
9 pm- picks 12-13

Once the final standings are confirmed for Round 2, we will set up threads for each of the division drafts for the last theme.

These will run off the clock unless we run into some surprising delays, but I don't expect that to be necessary with the time available.
