$160 Million - Rocky Mountain High Draft

Description: In this league, there will be six different 4-person 25-round drafts. Each draft represents the four owners within one division. Within each draft, players will be exclusive to the owner that drafts him (i.e., only one Babe Ruth per division). All players are eligible to be drafted and the player's season and salary must be announced when drafted (this is especially important for players with partial/combined seasons). Round 1 draft order will be random draw. After Round 1, the lowest cumulative team salary determines who picks first in the subsequent round, second-lowest picks second, etc. Make sure you draft enough innings. The DH will be in use.

Thanks schwarze. I have never taken part in a draft before. I need a little time to put together some ideas about what is optimal so I don’t get humiliated in this league. Once I’m ready I think I’ll be able to make my picks pretty quickly when my turns come up.

I have ten different half thought out strategies.
….And this pick doesn’t fit with any of them.
But in one of schwarze’s great re-distribution drafts I once made the comment that I passed the year prior on the chance to take Ruth in favor of some other crazy strategy (Frank Baker, if I recall) and would never do that again. I took a Ruth in that first round and went on to win that league.
So, here we are again. Lesson learned.
