Life, death and Ed complaining about his savage team. Same ole same ole.
I just need some Rob in top 3 with all five teams in playoffs complaining to complete my bingo card.
Right now my data has it as:
Tier 1:
chewy
ash

Tier 2:
jcred
dh

Tier 3:
ben
rob

Tier 4
24k
jhsukow
tarheel
berk
dbkc

everyone else
It's pretty cool there are 15 owners basically .500 or better (-1 under .500) so far. Lots of good competition, pretty much not cupcakes. I'll be interested to see how things shake out after out of conference play.

What an insane Savage season. It is either impossible to tell if anyone is good or either everyone is good. Currently going by estimated final record 17 teams are estimated to finish with a final team average of all five teams with 2 games of a .500 record. That is absolutely bonkers. If you look at the supporting numbers and try to surmise who is good based on shooting differential, rebounding, turnovers, defense, fouls, etc. your head will spin because there is nothing conclusive. Nobody is that decisively good or bad at anything. Nobody is even reasonably good at most stuff. Every team has a lot of red and green. Hell even I probably lucked into every winning cycle I could possibly muster in one season with this team in the last dozen or so cycles and I could not make any ground whatsoever on the top ten, everyone is that good. It is going to be a scary season, I think there are like 17 teams that could win.

38-12 over the last 50. I would say you are very thoroughly making ground on everyone.

Yeah, not sure what he's going on about. He's been #1 every time I've checked the past few days and just getting further and further out. 8 wins better than #2 this early is a bad sign for the rest of us.

There are 21 of us that are locked in a tight battle.

At this early stage in the season the supporting numbers are better predictors than the raw win numbers for me. Also we have barely played any out of division games. We will see where things stand after Game 44.

good ol' **** sandwich today

I went through a bit ago to prep for out of conference play (in hotel, spring break, girls asleep) and I think I got a bit luckier than I realized. At first pass it looks like the other conference in all five worlds is stacked compared to the one I am in. If that assessment is right, I think we might have a 12 game sample coming up where I fall well down the standings and the real cream starts to rise to the top. Sh** is about to get Savage friends.

My early assessment is that Savage is no fun. It’s an addiction. No matter how crazy it drives me, I dont think I’ll ever be able to quit.

I mean even if your teams aren’t doing well (mine aren’t), I can’t stop thinking “my players aren’t that bad, what if I woulda put this season here and that season there instead” “what if i woulda used this combination here, I probably would be running away with this.” It never stops, when does it end? I want there to be a way that we could have quick 23 game seasons, and then everyone have to make a minimum of say 5 adjustments to their teams using the same players but switch seasons and continue to do this 5 times. We could call it Savage Squared.

I have had a f-ing happy bday sandwiched in between 2 $hit sandwiches this week. How the heck do i figure outwhat the heck to do with that. I have had a team get outrebounded by 15+, then outrebound the next team 15+ and then repeat. This is insanity.

No truer statement has been uttered upon this website than that.

lol agreed Rift. This **** is maddening no matter how good or bad I’ve done it’s always captivating. It’s my favorite part of this website.

I think we would all have a hard time coping with it going away if WiS ever goes under… even if checking the results of each cycle raises my heart rate and blood pressure twice a day.

I think I accidentally trained my body to wake up at 2am… I remember it was like early 2022 so probably 7 years after I had last been on WIS and I got a jolt of excitements at 1:52 and I was like huh I wonder if that sites still around.

I started playing baseball again so for me it’s five times a day. Sometimes I get frustrated with it and think about quitting, but it would leave such a void in my life I wouldn’t know what to do. At some point I decided that I’m not here for the wins, I’m here for the people.

Siakam has definitely been the biggest offensive failure. which I at least have some theories on but idk if they can account for how much of a disaster he has been. Covington isn't much better but at least he plays defense. my 3pt shooting is god awful. its kinda funny i have the best 2pt% and worst 3pt%.

The biggest thing i've learned is Savage titles might not be single handedly won through defense but they 100% can be lost through bad D.

One thing that could improve my team a little which should happen is Barkley's FT% is down on almost all teams.
