PRIVATE RULES (please review):
Intentional tanking at the Major League level is strictly prohibited! There's a huge difference between rebuilding a franchise and intentionally tanking. If you are intentionally starting multiple non-ML quality players (e.g., OVR <60) who are not specialists/platoons (e.g. Gold Glove quality position player or back-up, big bat/weak def, specialist LHRP/RHRP) or players drastically out of position at the ML level especially at critical defensive positions such as SS, CF, 3B, 2B, & C leading to excessive/ridiculous error/poor play totals will not be tolerated. This also means keeping ML pitchers at acceptable stamina levels. Repeatedly starting pitchers between (0-50%) stamina is unacceptable. Keep your pitcher stamina above ZERO. If any of these conditions occur routinely or excessively, a warning will be issued and if uncorrected behaviors continue, this will lead to your immediate removal. Any team that is obviously tanking or neglecting their team can be replaced mid-season. Teams losing 100+ games 2+ seasons in a row at the ML level can be removed from the league.
- Exceptions will be made for owners truly struggling to succeed due to inheriting ridiculous contracts carrying over from past owners or extenuating circumstances (contact Commissioner directly asap) leaving them unable to check their team on a regular basis. After 2 consecutive 100+ loss seasons, steady improvement is expected (failure to do so can lead to removal). The single season MWR is 55 and failure to do so, can lead to removal. Owners should log in at least a minimum 1 time per week. This action should prevent most issues with the other league rules. Any owner away for 7+ days must notify commissioner and/or message board. Failure to do so will first result in a warning (via trade chat, and publicly in world chat). Repeat offenses can lead to other consequences, up to and including being removed from the league. If you know you are going to be absent for greater than 5 consecutive days, please set up AI to auto manage your team in your absence and as a courtesy, please inform commish and/or message board for planned absences.
Please keep each minor league rosters at every level as close to full (at least 25+ players) as possible and your minor league pitching staffs replenished and sufficiently staffed, so you aren't routinely giving up 10+ runs a game that resemble football scores. Minor league pitchers should not be at zero stamina. Example of a reasonable minor league roster typically may include 1-3 catchers, at least 10+ position players, 12-14+ pitchers. FYI - minors burn through alot of pitchers, so plan accordingly.
Also, please do not take advantage of newbie owners in trades. Strong recommendation to new owners to consult with veteran owners as mentors regarding any questions, strategy on roster building, etc. New owners should learn the game and their rosters before making drastic transactions. Reminder, the first week of the season has a critical impact on your team since there is a flurry of activities that will need your attention and impact your team significantly. Please ask questions.
