When you sign up for this league, you will be given a random day of the year generated using random.org (excluding February 29). You will then choose a current or former MLB player who either was born on or died on your random date. I’ll refer to him as your ‘key’ player. You’ll need to use the lists of ‘Players born on this day’ and ‘Players who died on this day’ to view your eligible player options. Here are the links to those lists:

https://www.baseball-reference.com/friv/dateofdeath.cgi. Between the 2 lists, you should end up with a minimum of around 60 players to choose from. Note that the lists default to the current date, so you’ll need to enter your random date in order to find your correct player options.
After you’ve chosen your key player, you then need to build your best $110M team using only players who appeared on the same roster with your key player at some point during his career (per
https://www.baseball-reference.com/players/). Your key player and all of his teammates can then be twisted to any season of their careers.
For example, say your assigned random date is August 12 and you select Enos Slaughter from the ‘died on’ list. You could then use any players who appeared on the rosters of the following teams: St. Louis Cardinals 1938-1942 & 1946-1953, New York Yankees 1954-1959, Kansas City A’s 1955-1956, and Milwaukee Braves 1959. And, all of those players could be twisted to any season of their careers.
No DH, WW, AAA, trades, clones, or injuries. Alignment will be chronological based on the first year of key player’s careers. You must use a ballpark that was a home field of your key player. On the off chance that none of your key player’s home fields are in the WIS database, use WIS Park.
You are not required to include your key player on your roster, but you can do so if you wish.
Please join by entering a post below, and I’ll generate your random date and then send you the league number by site mail. I’ll ask a volunteer to obtain my random date. No owners will be assigned the same random date as any other owner, but it is possible that 2 owners will choose the same key player (i.e. one based on the player's birth date and the other based on the player's date of death). It’s fine if that happens, and we'll still align chronologically.
The deadline for entering your roster will be set for 7 days after the 24th owner signs up, so please don’t sign up unless you can meet that time frame. Barring some type of unexpected emergency, owners who sign up but then fail to honor their commitment to enter a team may be barred from joining the league in future seasons. Thank you!
