Fortunately for you, Andrew, rebounding ain't what it used to be.  (I'm still trying to figure out the "new rebounding".)

5-5, RPI 34.  The bad news is that there are only two neat players here (Captain Creagh and Streater) and one is wasting his last year on this squad.  There are a ton of FR here; the Key might be McKeag who is green in the G categories, but red elsewhere.  He's interesting, at least nad is the starting PG once the Captain graduates.  Moore will likely never start, with green only in SPD and PE and nothing More.  DC won't be Pitts' Burg for a while, but he has greens all over the place to grow into.  RS FIsher has some, but his RED ATH and DEF will keep him from Angling for a claim as King.  Daley keeps improving Daily, but The Mayor will only be a Mejor difference if he is high medium on the glass and gets to 80.  Dressler is fascinating, heading for 90 ATH to go with 90 DEF and something higher than where he's at at REB and LP.  If either of those gets much above 60, he's a force.  Key stat: this is the worst CUA rebounding team since my first season, highlighted by having the worst average big REB ratings AND the worth average SF REB ratings.

6-4, RPI 139.  Big opener vs. CUA as we both try to avoid being the team to battle Goucher for the basement.  I don't think the current squad has the ability to make any real NT run as it lack an elite shooter.  You could make a quality over quantity argument since the 6 non-seniors all have decent shooting profiles.  Now appearing for the prosecution, David Allen has the more interesting of the FR profiles with High ATH, REB, DEF, BLK, and LP.  I guess Gess is the other interesting profile with monster ATH and DEF and no PE/P.  Not my style of SF, but not without his uses.  Key stat: no other team had 6 players get 50+ points of improvement.

10-0, RPI 17.  The five seniors don't perfectly sync; if Findlay or Hinderberger had another year of development and one of the SF had one less, this team would be better positioned 1 to 8 to make a deep run.  As is, they are only clearly worse than two D3 teams.  Edelman has to be Happy with Gay's improvements, his emergence has made next year's starting 5 (White/Uribe/Gay/Findlay/Hinderberger) look like it will still be a very solid NT core.  The FR (Salesky) looks solid, but unless either LP or PE is Sky's the limit, not a bad Sale purchase, but nothing special.  Key Stat: the team's average 60 ATH is #2 in all D3, 5 points higher than any other CAC team (MW).

4-6, RPI 176.  After his first NT appearance, this team is struggling with only 2 SRs and 2 JRs.  The team will probably contend in the PIT next year, but the FR class has some really good pieces as the basis for the next NT run.  The G's are a nice matched set.  Be Mine Valentine is a pass first PG who is heading for 80 SPD, BH, and P.  I heart that.  In the not too Hazy future, Hazley should match nicely with 90 SPD and 80 PE.  That both will get to 40+ ATH and have >1 REB is a plus.  Saint Patrick may be the weak link; he's +2 in 5 diff categories, but the lack of dominant SPD/REB means he'll be sweeping up the residue from Ashman's starting floor time as soon as next season.  Foreman will sit at 1 SPD, but is progressing nicely, heading to 50+ ATH, 90 REB, 60+ DEF, 90 BLK and 60 LP.  Maybe not a h\Heavyweight Champion, but someone who can get in opponents Grill.  That brings us To Morrow.  He's got a nice starting place and is already +5 in LP, suggesting 80+ is in play, again making a nice complement to the other big.  Key Stat: Koop's NT's in the first 22 season: 0.  In the last 1: 1.  My guess is that he'll get more than 1 in the next 4, but he'll need to schedule W's to make it sure.

11-0, RPI 15.  Not even coming off a national title.  Check out the LP improvememtns here as well as Raynor's PE improvement.  This team can score, defend, rebound, and has mad ATH.  Besides that, they aren't that impressive.  With 6 SRs the combination of good IQs and mad skills make this a F4 favorite.  Note also the lack of any D or F FT shooters.  Howard (with Strjewski, a non-FR new arrival) is another 80+ ATH and DEF guy (that makes a big, a SF, and a G) though Howard will probably see SF minutes.  I don't love Stryjewski's development to date, not sure why Russell T pulled him from the Diaspora.  RS FR Peloquin is another odd profile, looking like a SF who defends like a beast but doesn't do much else.  Key Stat: 11.  The number of wins for MW this year and total losses for the last 3+ years.  Ridiculous.

9-2, RPI 39.  Still only 1 SR.  Check the 4 guys with +10 SPD since the last update; still not great G speed, but heading there by next year when this team looks like it could have designs on a deep run; I'd like them more if Williams was a threat with either LP or PE.   Have I ever told you about when I met Dr Roland King?  I walked around a corner and he punched me in the face.  I said "Dr King!"  He said, "Oops, I thought you were someone else."  King, the only true FR is +3 REB, +4 LP, and +3 PE but 0 on ATH.  He looks good, but not great  No idea why Wrono didn't cut Cherry in recruiting this year.

7-4, RPI 25.  This teams current incarnation has balanced classes to deliver consistent, good seasons, but if this group of SRs doesn't make a run, I don't like the top shelf talent in the JR class and with only 2 Sophomores (though I love both Chest White and John Tyler), leaving the potential 2 year down cycle.  RS FR Booth has a Killer profile, with enough shooting range to score from outside the arc, not just in the Box.  Warren "The Economist" Voelker has a disturbingly low REB rate that doesn't seem to be going up as fast as you'd like.  Hansen looks green in SPD/ATH to go with some decent improvements elsewhere and a starting 70+ LP; that should help him Mmm Bop and score.  Howrard looks like a better version of CUA's McKaig with Green ATH, P, BH, and PE but no defense.  Key Stat: Stansell has attempted 135 of York's 175 3's, the highest % by anyone in the CAC.

10-2, RPI 8.  5 SRs, 5 JRs; 7 guys with 60+ PE; 4 guys with 65+ ATH.  McCabe is working his magic again.  What's not to like here?  Not much; the LP's aren't elite, I guess.  The BLK ratings aren't great, but this is a E8/F4 geared team.  He's had fun switching around his SFs (Hartman, Sanders, Lewis) to match up.  I'd go Wallace, Clark, Hartman, Forbes, and Carballo, challenging opponents to score inside, but I haven't made a F4 myself in a long time. The FR are worth comment.  Officer Mahoney is flat on ATH/SPD so far, but looks like he's gone to the Academy to improve in DEF, PE, BH, and P.  Fredricksen is a really interesting guy; he gets tired in the layup line (43 ST?  Really) but with a monster starting profile and looking green in ATH, SPD, and LP.  If the ST gets to 80, he's a monster.  You'd like him to get minutes to help his WE, but that ain't easy when you're working with 40 ST.  Key Stat: Clark's shooting-- .444/.421/.788; this is worse than the other recent +80 SPD/PE guys in the CAC.  Not sure why, but getting those up will help the Thumpers.

10-2, RPI 55.  A well-scheduled non-conference slate.  This team isn't quite ready for prime time with defensive holes, lack of G SPD and any elite big profile.  The REB is nice and the P/BH ratings are solid contributors and allowed them to make hay against their early opponents.  There is something to like with the upside of all the FR.  Broom looks high green in SPD and low high in ATH, BH, and P.  He should Sweep into a lead G role.  Herron is clearly green in ATH/SPD and profiles as a decent SF.  Burks is High-High on ATH and SPD (+5/+5) and solid on DE (+4) and LP (+3).  That's a fun, fun profile in the making.  Handel may not be the Messiah, but his progress to date (+8 ATH, +9 REB) is unparalleled in the entire CAC.  Key Stat: Reb margin-- 39.1 to 30.9 per game.

4-8, RPI 71.  We were all a little disappointed by Magneto's lack of PIT success last season.  This squad has a pretty good shot at making some noise there again.  Hammonds dev pattern is worth noting with big skill still developing so he could have a Page-like 15/6 line next season at PF or SF.  There is another NT lineup sitting in the lower class with Holstein Moo-ving up the rating board as fast as anyone in the conference; paired with McReath and Varda in the front court and a backcourt of RS FR Peters (destined for 80SPD/80PE/80BH unless his progress Peters out) and Johanson (whose +38 so far this year shows his profile contains little Scarlett).  Key Stat: 22.  Magneto's career PIT wins, most in D3 Naismith.

11-2, RPI 3.  This is a good team, but it reeks over overpeforming to date.  Graber is a true elite talent and Marchan's a pretty sweet wingman big for him, but there isn't great 3rd big, the starting SF is a RS FR, and though Rogers is a scorer, none of the other G's are among the best 12 in the CAC.  Tip the cap to Geoff's coaching job to date.  That said, the elite talent is the 5 SRs who are using a little IQ to help outperform their numerical ratings.  Check out the development patterns; you have to like Alexander's development, but I'm not sure he's going to be Great.  Lemon's pretty sweet and Geoff won't likely Sour on the fact that he's heading for 80+ in both PE and LP.  Cope will only get there in PE but has a well rounded skill set that will allow him to succeed, not just Cope.  Jarrett looks like he has a lot of green, but he REB rating isn't Racing up enough to improve his Stock in my book.  Key Stat: +1.3 TO differential.  The odd part is that he's only +.2 on Steals.  Those two stats usually track together better.

9-4, RPI 7.  Only 3 SRs, but they are crucial to SMM's success, supplying 45.2ppg on well over 50% shooting.  If Nielsoen had another 10 points of SPD or Lewis another 10 points of PE or there was a least 1 good perimeter defender, I'd like their odds of making noise more.  The McNairy/Nielson/Thorpe troika look good enough to hold together the perimeter into the near future (though Thorpe needs to get that ST up), but the younger bigs are not good, necessitating a big time recruit next year.  The other FR Canadian (Barnes) looks like a good-enough PG for the future, giving better P/BH while backing up McNary.  Key Stat: 55.0%.  Allen's FG%, the lower of the two SR PF's.

I'm equally confused by Hood's good performance to date. I expect a downturn. If one doesn't happen, this team could cause me to reevaluate things.

Now that you gamecocks have won a National Championship (even if it was baseball), anything is possible.
