This is a GREAT franchise in a fun and unique league.
Here's how it works for the Dodgers this season.
1) Keep 24 players from your 1975 team. (15 will be on your regular roster and 9 of these guys will be in AAA and may never see action)
2) Bring back 1 hitter and 1 pitcher from both 2017 and 2007. (4 players)
3) Draft 6 players in the annual draft. One hitter and one pitcher from 1908, and two pitchers and two hitters from the 8 unused 1975 franchises (6 players)
Next year, it's the 1976 Dodgers, with players brought back from 2016 and 2006, and two old timers from 1909.
Late 70s and early 80s Dodgers are a gold mine of talent. In 1975, you have very good seasons from Steve Garvey, Ron Cey, and the whole starting rotation of Messersmith, Sutton, Hooton, and Rau. Add the modern Dodgers and the draftees to the mix, and you'll have one of the best teams in the league. Year after year.
This is a rare find, folks. Who wants in?
(I have the Red Sox in this league, as they are my home town team, but LA is a better franchise.)
