The WhatIfSports.com college football simulation engine enjoyed unprecedented success in 2012, accurately picking the winner in 78.8 percent of FBS games. The precision crept up to 80.1 percent in games featuring AP Top 25 teams. Our weekly upset picks didn't do too shabby either, finishing with a record of 9-4.
Never one for sentimentality, our engine has turned its attention to the 2013 college football campaign. With Georgia State's addition to the FBS ranks, there are now 125 schools playing at college football's top level, and our simulation engine will be offering weekly predictions for each of them.
We're kicking off the prediction fun by "playing" the entire 15-week FBS schedule and generating predicted records for every team, as well as predicted standings for every conference. We're highlighting the major conferences with full schedule predictions for each team and analysis provided by CollegeFootballNews.com. Finally, on Wednesday, August 28, we'll release every FBS conference's predicted final standings and records.
Our 2013 College Football Conference Previews and Projected Standings schedule is as follows:
- Tuesday, August 20 - ACC
- Wednesday, August 21 - Big 12
- Thursday, August 22 - AAC
- Friday, August 23 - Big Ten
- Monday, August 26 - Pac-12
- Tuesday, August 27 - SEC
