There is no way this goes to federal court. And if it somehow does, there's no way he wins. Not a ******* chance.
The feds have always let MLB police itself. And that's exactly what has been done here. There is a process in place, and it has been followed. This should be the end of the story, except for the fact that the delusional ARod believes that he is bigger than MLB and is somehow goinbg to be vindicated.
And for those who keep going back to "MLB is violating the JDA", ARod's case goes way beyond the JDA. He obstructed an active investigation by MLB. Nobody is going to take very kindly to that kind of action.
According to ESPN, MLB couldn't make the obstruction charges stick, so this is purely a drug-related suspension, which makes it even more bogus.
MLB is as corrupt as anyone. They obstructed a state investigation to unethically (and potentially illegally) obtain information and they threatened their "star witness", a criminal himself, into giving them what they wanted. ARod is hardly a victim - he's a cheating scumbag - but MLB is just as bad and they're actually forcing people to support ARod.
Braun failed a test, made a mockery of the appeal system, publicly destroyed the reputation of the handler, and vehemently and arrogantly attacked his accusers. Publicly, nothing ARod his done even comes close. Braun tarnished the game of baseball far more, yet MLB came to him with a deal of 65 games instead of the 100 he was owed. Then they pull 211 out of their ***** for ARod. I'm very surprised he got 162 because I really don't think they have much concrete evidence on him.
This is unlikely to get to federal court, but if it does, MLB will be in trouble.
