Reds win the Central and STL has a losing record.
Yep, I like the moves Cincinnati has made although they way overpaid for Latos!

There's no reason Milwaukee shouldn't take that division again if Braun isn't suspended.

Eh, Reds may win the division, but I don't see the Cardinals having a losing record.  Lose Pujols, that hurts....add Beltran and get Wainwright back, helps.  I think they will be a 90+ win team.

Damn, picked the wrong AL Slugger with a history of drinking.

NO.......*******.......WAY.......

Lose Pujols, lose Dave Duncan, add a declining Beltran, Berkman won't play as well again... They failed to win 90 last season, no way they win 90 next season.

The DODGERS to win the NL West???????

And all indications are that we're going to have an extra playoff team this year as well. Who ya picking for that spot?

I'll go with the following... (assuming that in the playoffs the 1 seed would play the 4 seed UNLESS the Wild Card 4 seed is from the same division)

AL

Yankees (1)
Tigers (2)
Angels (3)
Rangers (Wild Card) (4)
Rays (Wild Card) (5)

Rays over Rangers (WC Play-In)

Angels over Yankees (assuming that the Yankees as the 1 seed can't play a WC team that is in their division in round 1 so they'd play the Angels)
Tigers over Rays

Tigers over Angels

NL

Phillies (1)
Reds (3)
D- Backs (2)
Marlins (Wild Card) (4)
Nationals (Wild Card) (5)

Marlins over Nationals (WC Play-In)

Phillies over Reds (assuming that the Phillies as the 1 seed can't play a WC team that is in their division in round 1 so they'd play the Reds)
Marlins over D-Backs

Phillies over Marlins

WORLD SERIES

Tigers over Phillies

I know picking the Dodgers is the craziest choice I made, but that's the fun with making predictions.  I wanted to take a team most people might not pick.  I like Kershaw as an ace and I think the NL West is a pretty weak division.  The Giants have the best overall rotation, but lack the ability to score runs. I see the D-Backs as a one hit wonder last year who won't repeat.  I think the Rockies have a few stud players but have very young pitching.  The Dodgers are a veteran team with a stud in Kershaw and in Kemp.  Maybe Mattingley can do for the Dodgers what Gibson did for the D-Backs last season.

Seems like this thread is a bunch of crazy/fun predictions anyway, so I thought I'd add mine to it.  Thanks for reminding me about the extra wild card.  I'd put the Rays in there in the AL and the Marlins for the NL, but I don't think either team will advance to the CS.  Your prediction of a Tigers/Phillies series is pretty solid. I can't really argue with that.

Cards will win 90+ games this year.

Cubs will win 70-72, but TheoCo continues to clean house and unloads Soriano, Dumpster and Byrd.

White Sox will draw 11 fans this season in the 78 games that don't involve the Cubs.

Boston will finish in 4th place in the East.

Alex Rios gets released by July.

Mariners win the West.

What were you smoking last night night Muddy. The Mariners to win the West??? Either that's TOTAL sarcasm or you were plastered out of your mind.

Neither...just going against the grain there, trying to make at least one prediction that's way off the board.
