Until Shields bails on KC and Myers is a perennial all-star.
It was a great trade, and Tampa Bay fans have come on to the Royals website and said so.

This years almost mid way point anylysis (Avg., HR, RBI, R, OPS):
SALVADOR PEREZ: .281, 7, 24, 26, .773
Those are solid numbers, and like the rest of the team, he's heating up. He has amazing defense, and is well on his way to another gold glove. He should get at least consideration for his second all star game.

ERIC HOSMER: .260, 4, 35, 33, .674
I have been very disapointed with Hos as he has not had power, however he has started to ramp up his stroke. We need him.
OMAR INFANTE: .250, 3, 33, 24, .650
He had a really rough patch which messed up his stats but he has been very solid.
ALCIDES ESCOBAR: .295, 2, 23, 34, .741
He has really surprised me with gold glove defense and stepping it up with the bat. I know they are gonna vote Jeter and maybe Ramirez, but this guy has the numbers to back up his case!
MIKE MOUSTAKAS: .175, 7, 26, 17, .606
The missing bat in the lineup. He has been bad, but a .230 and 15-20 homer season would be enough from him.
ALEX GORDON: .288, 7, 38, 40, .831
Our best hitter this season. Just sensational defense as well. Should be an All-Star. Not consideration, but should be.
LORENZO CAIN: .318, 2, 29, 18, .779
Amazing fielder, and has come through in the clutch this season. Finally getting some love from sportscenter, as the best of the best AND the top play of the day are LoCain plays. rsp has seen some of that. He's also seen some Alex Gordon.
NORI AOKI: .261, 0, 14, 35, .644
Has been underperforming. He needs to hit more.
BILLY BUTLER: .271, 2, 31, 30, .677
He has also been underperforming. He needs to find the power stroke that he had in 2012.

6/18/2014 8:53 PM
Bench
JARROD DYSON: .299, 0, 7, 14, .676
He's getting on top of the ball, and as a result hitting well. He needs to platoon with Aoki.
DANNY VALENCIA: .246, 1, 7, 6, .650
Good backup for Moose.
BRETT HAYES: .086, 1, 2, 3, .283
Underperforming on the hitting side.

Royals going to break the longest playoff drought in MLB? The Blue Jays could get in this year also which would be fitting since they have the second longest drought!

Pitching (W-L, ERA, IP for starters ERA, IP for releivers)
JAMES SHIELDS: 8-3, 3.50, 97.2
The ace. Just a normal Shields year.
JASON VARGAS: 7-2, 3.25, 99.2
He's the guy that replaced Ervin Santana, with simular results.
YORDANO VENTURA: 5-5, 3.26, 77.1
Hopefully he'll be the ace for many years after Shields.
JEREMY GUTHRIE: 3-6, 4.04, 91.1
Another workhorse. the worst in our rotation so far.
DANNY DUFFY: 4-5, 2.83, 54
I've been impressed with Danny, hopefully he and Yordano can keep it going.
GREG HOLLAND: 1.35, 26.2
He NEEDS to be an all-star.
WADE DAVIS: 1.19, 30.1
He's had the same story as Luke Hocheavar with slightly better results. I think he's gone 2-3 months without allowing a run.
KELVIN HERRERA: 2.35, 30.2
I'm holding my breath that he and Aaron Crow can keep this up.
AARON CROW: 2.87, 31.1
Basically same as Herrera. Same role, same stats.
LOUIS COLEMAN: 6.41, 19.2
Luckily we don't need a 5th/6th inning guy.

I'm cheering for the Jays, and all small market teams. Glad to see the Pirates get in last year.

June 18
Royals 2, Tigers 1
HR: Omar Infante
RBI: Infante, Gordon
R: Infante, Hosmer
Guthrie 6.2 innings 1 run
Herrera 1 out
Davis 1 inning
Holland 1 inning
:J. Guts, Bullpen, Infante
:Moose, Esky
Royals now 1.5 ahead.
----------------------------------------
We proved that we could win the close one. The pitching was exellent. We now look to bring out the brooms with Danny Duffy on the hill tomorrow.
GO ROYALS
6/18/2014 9:59 PM
June 19
Royals 1, Tigers 2
RBI: Butler
R: Aoki
Flu: Gordon
Aoki 2-4
Butler 2-4, 2 doubles
Duffy 7 innings, 2 runs
: Duffy, Butler, Escobar (Great play on Cabrera)
: Infante, Perez, Cain, Dyson
Royals head home 1/2 ahead to face the Mariners
---------------------------------------------
I am very satisfied with a series win against Detroit and heading home with the lead. I would have liked the win, though. I think Gordon being out was the deciding factor as Perez came up with a chance to drive in a run a couple times and failed to get it done. Escobar caught Cabrera sleeping, and Hos got the out at first by diving to the bag, the second time this has happened. We need to get a series win against Seattle and move on from there.
BTW, Nice no-no by Kershaw. The next team he will start against: The Boys In Blue!

Dude, you disappeared for 4 months and show back up after a win streak.

Don't you think that's what we call a "fair weather fan"?

Royals fans = small market Sux fans

Well, it's more fun to watch and write about when your winning, but I have been watching and following all year. I am NOT a bandwagon jumper, hope you can tell. I HATE bandwagon jumpers AND Fair weather fans. I just left WIS for a while and decided to com back, partially because I was bored, maybe 5% because the Royals are winning. I also wanted to brag in rsp's face at this time. I was actually going to come back at the all star break but whatever. I'll try to update on almost every game, no matter if we're winning or losing.
BTW I just may quit and come back when we have a long losing streak, so then you can call me a cloudy weather fan.

I'll admit, we do have overall sub-average fans. But we do have bigger, more loyal fans, like when we played the Cardinals last year at St.Louis and there was a rain delay and the game was started back up around midnight and all the Cardinal fans left, there was only a group of Royals fans left who chanted 'Lets Go Royals' while Greg Holland got the save. But you are entitled to your opinion, and I'll respect that.
