It only took choking away 2 games to the Rockies, for the "Tard fans insecurities about the Cubs to shine through.

It's funny when fans of minor league teams argue about who sucks less.

Aramis had two more hits last night, propelling him to .195 on the year. Watch out, .200!

He's looking a lot better at the plate.

Too little, too damned late.

Aramis--2 more hits today, including a HR. Up to .209! He'll pass Lee within the next week or so, if he keeps it up.

It's great to see that Soto's been getting on base even more than usual lately (current OBP--.412, after today's game), but has been demoted to 8th in the lineup. Think of all the RBI opportunities Gorzelanny, Lilly, Wells, etc. are going to get!!!!

OBP/SLG of today's lineup, entering the game (no, that first column is not AVG):

.314 / .308
.321 / .546
.328 / .366
.265 / .370
.362 / .485
.347 / .546
.330 / .376
.407 / .467

*******, I hope Lou gets ran over by a bus.

Christ, what an *******.

Dump some salary off those ugly books and plan for the next decade...

That Holliday contract is going to look pretty frightening after Pujols breaks the bank and the Tards can't or won't pay both Wainwright and Carpenter.
7/11/2010 9:50 PM
Wainwright is locked up through 2013 and Carpenter is 35 and signed through next season, with a club option for 2012 (I think).  Cards' decision will be whether or not to pay a 37 year old Carp $15 million in 2012.

If there was even a sliver of a chance Donuts could have pawned Silva off on another numbskull GM; the first inning took care of that.

Cubs drive Lou into retirement.

Good job, Chicago.  Your crap city beat the man down.

Lou on his way out. Looks like cubs are after DFB to take the reigns again.
7/20/2010 2:44 PM
Ryne Sandberg is a shoo-in to replace him.  He has not been at all discreet about his desire to manage the Cubs, and this is the primo opportunity for him to do so.

Meanwhile, the Cubs looked good against the defending WS champs over the weekend, only to get their butts handed to them by the Astrolls last night.

I wouldn't say Sandberg is a lock. If Girardi gets out of NY, he'd be a super hire. Ryno could be his bench coach and get some major league experience.
