This is kind of funny.  MLB outlawed the body armor that Bonds was wearing to protect himself from inside pitches.   Now they outlaw collisions at the plate and want pitchers to don protective headgear.

What happens more in MLB?    HBP, collisions at the plate or liners off the pitcher's noggin?

I would say HBP MikeT23. Do I win a prize?

You do.   I just need your name, address and major credit card number in order to get it delivered.

Can't you just get that information from Target?

I'm not trying to minimize the effect of line drives to the head, but a) how often does it happen? and b) how often has it ended a guy's career? McCarthy's was the scariest recently - the dude needed brain surgery, and still made a comeback.

If guys want to wear it, all power to them, but it's ridiculous if they make it mandatory.
