Unless he gets injured, and/or stops being a superstar player.  There is no guarantee that he will get better than he is now.

He doesn't have to get better. The market just has to move. Stanton isn't better than Arod was when Arod signed his $275 million dollar contract. There's just more money in baseball now. If there is more money in baseball at the opt out time, Stanton could get a bigger deal even if he regresses a little from where he is now.
