So what? Lot's of players get into the Hall without being elected by the BWAA. Especially the ones with special circumstances.

I think it's interesting that you think Rose should be in the Hall but not Clemens/Bonds.

If that's the case, I don't think he's got much of a shot. The old farts on the Vets Committee won't put him in.

Rose's accomplishments on the field are worthy of the HOF.

Clemens and Bonds' accomplishments on the HOF are tainted.

Apples and oranges.

Gambling is a horrible problem that could destroy a sport.

PEDs are a relatively small problem, even when widely used.

Clemens and Bonds did something that was generally accepted within the game at the time they did it. Gambling on baseball was never acceptable. If someone asked you at the time if you thought Bonds was roiding during his peak, you would have said "Yea, probably" with a smile on his face and then gushed all over his 70th homer.
