Should the Ravens and Flacco sign a unique deal Topic

I mean something like 10 year, 150 million with 70 million guaranteed.  Something where Flacco gets the longest and biggest deal in history but where the Ravens can put the cost out long enough that it isn't a cap crippling deal so they can still have enough cap room to have a contender.  And obviously that kind of a deal makes injury a big concern, but Flacco has never missed a game and it isn't like he has a RGIII, Kaepernick, Vick, etc. style of play.

He's a solid QB but his numbers aren't worth that and for 10 years? I'd say a big no.

He is going to get 20 million a year or so.  That is very crippling to a cap.  Extending that out for more years is a way to get him the money but without the crippling to the cap.

He'll never see all those years but 70 guaranteed. That's a lot of cash.

No.

Flacco is far from the best QB in the NFL, so he shouldn't be paid like he is.

Doesn't matter that he isn't, he is going to be paid like he is.

$70mil guaranteed....HAHAHA!!

Flacco will be highest paid QB in the NFL. I'm sure toddcommish agrees with this because Flacco is such a winner.

6 years, 120.6 million

I love it. It's always great when teams you hate sign players to stupid, crippling contracts.

definitely a huge contract, but at least somewhat defensible.  I mean since Flacco entered the league, no QB has more wins, more playoff wins, more Superbowl wins, or more games played.

I guess we'll find out next season with no Ed Reed or Ray Lewis on D.

they didn't play half the year anyway.  The bigger issue will be no Matt Birk and maybe no Anquan Boldin.

That half of the year they weren't winning.  When Ray Ray, Suggs and Reed all played together, they had a major boost.

I wonder what they do with Boldin.

I think Ed Reed will be back anyway.
