Ray Rice.
A new contender. But it's the NFL probably lots of guys dragging their gf out of an elevator.

They say they have evidence of him punching her.

I'd love for this chump to get released....but then someone else would snatch him up.

Jason Collins sez "**** you, Michael Sam.  I'm the first openly gay player in a major sport in America!!!!"

Did Sam say "OK, but you need to buy me diner first."?

It's this easy.  Michael Sam has never quit on his team.  Case closed.

Judging by what happened at the combine, Michael Sam has played for his last team.

He'll be drafted and play for a team.

I don't doubt he'll be drafted.  But slow, weak defensive linemen aren't all the rage in the NFL.

There are plenty of mid round draft picks that never see the field.  He might be one of those guys and it wouldn't have anything to do with his sexuality.

That will not be the story.

As for special teams, that's not a DL job.  LB, DB, WR, TE do most of that stuff.   You want someone who can get down the field.    He's gonna have to prove he can get to the QB.    And the numbers don't indicate he can.

So I see you're heavy on combine performance meaning NFL success.

Not so much.   DE hardly ever run 40 yards in a straight line.  In track clothes.

But Sam was projected to be a 3rd-5th round pick before coming out.   I don't really care what anyone says, that took him off some boards.   Some teams don't need the distraction of "How is your team handling the gay guy in the locker room situation?" nonsense.   So 3-5 probably become 5-7.    And teams aren't interested in a media circus for a 6th round pick(which is why Tebow can't even get a sniff when we know he's got to be better than some back-ups).

My guess is he gets drafted.   And he better show something because he's not going to stick around on "potential".

I'm pretty sure his on field play shows he's got the talent to be a solid rotation type player.

He might slip some more if his pro day is just as bad, but if his pro day improves a bit.  I'm sure he'll still get drafted.  Just not in the 3rd-5th like he was projected.
