Yeah, "My GA saw something with Sandusky. Don't really know what" doesn't make a lot of sense. Unless, like AC stated, he didn't want to know. Which might be possible as he didn't want to hear anything about his trusted assistant. If I'm not mistaken, there were a lot of player problems with the law that Paterno claimed to have no knowledge of. I do get the feeling he's been doing a lot of delegating over the last few years.
That still doesn't let him off the hook if the GA said "Sandusky, 10 year old boy, shower, naked" in the same sentence.
