I have matched teams from years 1950, 1960, 1970, & 1980 by their number of wins.  The team with highest number of wins was matched with team lowest number.  No teams that participated in world series were used.  You take your set of teams and make a champion or at least an unusual team.  The catch is at least 12 players must come from each team.  It is a half and half league plus 1. Your combo is exclusive to you.

I hope to have 24 teams.  Random Alignment  No trades, no ww, no dreaded aaa, no clones, no live play, no dh and no twists. Just say no! You must play in home park from one of your teams. I will select 16th. I am hoping for Phillie combo. I am also hoping to have a second season with 1951,1961,1971 & 1981 teams  Thanks

The paired teams are only for 1 year. It is not a decade pairing.  Your team will players from 1950, 1960, 1970 or 1980.

Are teams restricted to only players from 1960 for example or can you pick you twelve players from 1960 to 1969?

Good Question.  This season is 1950, 1960, 1970 and 1980.  The 1980 Yankees can only be used with 1980 Mariners for the 1980 season only.  It is a one season pair.
The 1970 Astros and 1970 Tigers make a team and so on.

I'll do 1960 Dodgers/Reds

Did you intentionally leave teams off the list?

For example, you have the 1980 Angels (65 wins - 3rd from bottom) paired with the 1980 Astros (93 wins). The win standings for 1980 look like:

NYY 103
BAL 100
KCR 97
HOU 93
...
NYM 67
TOR 67
CAL 65
CHC 64
SEA 59

I only left world series teams off intetionally.  Some teams had identical records.  I used the same source.  I may have made mistake.
