I wonder which league (AL or NL) will be tougher. The NL has 6 of the 7 "used-once" franchises. In fact, there are 12 different franchises represented in the NL. The AL has the Braves as the only "used-once" franchise and eleven franchises used multiple times, including both instances of LAD and OAK and two of the three NYY franchises.
Eight of the first 12 first-round picks were STUD pitchers. Of the last 12 first round picks, only six were pitchers, but these six represent a downgrade of studliness, compared to the first eight (Maddux being the exception, and maybe Koufax).
