Ok, my 2 teams are next and both need a pitching set. I'm going to wait to select due to a possible new owner taking one of my teams. grayfoxx has expressed interest in taking a team and I'm giving him choice so if he takes the KC team he'll pick before me. If he takes the CFC team he'll pick after me.

I know it is still bheid408's turn, but reading his post above and having received a sitemail saying I could pick my last hitting team in the meantime, since bheid is getting pitching, I will make this pick and make clear the situation to the N4ser who follows me, but won't sitemail all three people after me so as to avoid any conflict or confusion in case any of them want pitching.

That said, tough choice, but I will go with: Chicago White Sox 1969 hitters

A dumb question: can we use partial seasons in choosing the players from our 4 teams to make a squad ?

This does bring a risk of "cookies" into the mix, but just so everyone knows that is not my intention in this case, the only partial year I would want to use is Bobby Knoop at 2B 1969 - he has two modalities, one technically "full season" but in any case 473 PA hitting .224 but it puts me just 500K over the $85 mil budget cap (I am right that the budget cap is $85 million right ?), whereas his "partial season" of 388 PA hitting .229 but me just under that cap.

I would not want to use a partial season player without informing my league member colleagues so you can tell me if we have a policy on this. I tend to think we probably want to require full seasons only, which means I will have to go with a much inferior back up infielder, which would be Knoop's role on the team, or else send someone else down at another position and replace that person with a cheaper sub.

I can live with it either way. But can we get a ruling on the partial vs. full season policy. And a confirmation that the budget cap is in fact $85 million ?

Thanks.

Yup, after 3 teams I actually thought I wouldn't approach the cap, but I see I'm going to have to make some sacrifices...it'll definitely help keep things balanced!

I will take the KC team(meaning it is my pick now) and will take the 1969 Cleveland Indians pitching staff.

Partial seasons are allowed as long as they are the correct version/team you drafted.

Good selection grayfoxx, 69 Indians are who I had slated for them.

Cape Fear selects the '46 Cubs Pitching.

Knoop had 388 PA with the White Sox , my drafted team, and only 83 with California that year. So I am within the parameters. Cool.

Trenton is set to go. This should be fun. The hard part will be deciding which of our 4 teams we have to part with at the end of each season !

couldn't put together the team I wanted when drafting these teams - but I'm happy with it nonetheless
