Mike Norris ERAs in the leagues I've been in: 3.50, 3.53, 3.93, 4.50, 4.60, 4.03, 4.13, 3.58, 4.14. Still pretty good.

Yeah, but not as good as Juan.  Maybe I'll buck the trend this season.  Thanks for posting them.

Well we need pitching, but we also definitely need a SS, and I'm surprised Mr. Oriole is available.

Cal Ripken - BAL

The surprises just won't stop.

Joe Morgan, Reds

Pretty sure this means that rbow has now, somehow, gotten both Mike Schmidt and Joe Morgan the only times they were exposed

now how did I know you were going to do that?

Philadelphia's Schilling is the second player taken who has never been exposed before. Not the last.  It's tempting to take another, but the White Sox SP need is too great:

Kevin Appier, Royals.

I definitely left Schilling unprotected in a previous R5 leg, but it may predate your records. (god, that makes me feel old.)

How does that keep happening?

And it's not like rbow had a high draft choice either.  As tempting as Morgan was, the Pirates pitching is so bad that I had to go that direction.

Roger Clemens, Derek Lowe, Pedro Martinez, Wade Boggs, Nomar Garciaparra, Joe Morgan - CIN,

Boston Over/Under = 102 wins.

I can't believe I didn't even notice that Joe Morgan sitting there. I even checked Cincy to see if Larkin was protected.

I won 96 with Boston last leg and rbow filled two of my biggest holes with Morgan/Nomar. Plus he probably wasn't using Ellsbury anyway so that's a free pull-back. I'll take the over on that 102.

Clemens and Lowe have typically been amongst the highest variance pitchers, especially with Fenway there to add to their performance swings. schwarze was a victim of this with '86 Clemens going for a 4.8 ERA and Lowe at 5.98 several legs ago. Fenway seems to foul up the predictability of pitching in this theme enough that I wouldn't be comfortable taking that over, even if rbow has certainly set himself up extremely well with the first round not even being complete.
