However, I believe the Bucs hold their own in WIS. I won a league where everyone used three consecutive seasons of a franchise where the cumulative record had to be under .500. My team was 1987-89 Pirates.

Not because I hate them or anything, but because I have the Bucs in a theme league that newark and I are in together. That team was a challenge to assemble, as it's only 1969-present. Not much pitching in Pittsburgh in those years!

I've definitely never come close to finishing in two rounds before, but there you go. turns out drafting all Phillies (inspired by the commish's all-Pirates team a few seasons ago) gets you finished right quick.
Sounds interesting. What was the cap? The league I run is a $120 million cap, and the Pirates aren't chosen all that often. When they are, they're usually decent, but have only made the playoffs a couple of times. This season, we're 30-28 and in 2nd place in our division. Both the hitting and pitching have been mediocre but not terrible. If you want to check out the theme, it's just a few threads below this one...Rule V. You can see the draft results, theme rules, etc.
