verbal- do you know where this line came from? It's a little before my time and know it relates to his clutch hit and I've heard it so many times over the years, I just don't know where it originated. Any ideas?
As a native Bostonian and life-long Red Sox fan, it relates to how he hit a home run in the one-game playoff against the Sox in Fenway in 1978 after hitting like one or two all season.  I was 13 at the time.

Did ljemd change his pick after others drafted after him?  If that's true, ljemd should know better than that. What was the original pick? And how many picks were made between the Martinez pick and the next pick?

Hi - I sent hockeyhead a site mail - I was trying to post a baseball card picture of Tippy Martinez and add it to my pick, but the computer froze - so I couldn't. I like to sometimes add a picture to make drafting more fun.

If this makes it look like I'm changing picks once I make them, I will stop adding pictures after I post a pick. Sometimes perception is important. However, I did not change the pick after I made it! :)

Really?  I thought he saw the initial draft pick.  I edit posts all the time for some reason or another like a spelling error, etc.  That doesn't mean anything.  Didn't think that was characteristic of ljemd.  Great pick!  I was really hoping he would get back to me.

Works for me. I like the baseball card images. Nice touch. I can't wait for the years that I really collected baseball cards in the early 80s! Now that you mention it, how do you get each baseball card image?

Google "player name baseball card" and click on image search  If you want a specific one just type the year and brand and it will usually come up.

Your a standup Guy LJ, my appology's if that's what happened. But editing isn't allowed as you know. That's how misunderstanding happen. It's not life or Death about Tippy Martinez. Good Luck to you and your team.
