That is your evidence that Jesus opposed gov't actions????  How do you come to that conclusion? Do you even understand the context  in which Jesus was speaking? Doubtful. The truth is, this was in part an admonishment to PAY YOUR TAXES. And what does government do with tax money? They spend it on government programs.

Furthermore, all that we have is a gift from God, and we should be using our time, treasure and talents in ways that are pleasing to God.

Swamp = FAIL
So Jesus, the founder of Christianity, didnt want people to support religious charities and wanted more power for the government, that ended up killing him!

Can you document this in some way?

The left wants to talk about anything except How bad off we are under Obama!

1 So your big move is "Jesus never supported charity"! Wow this is getting deep.

2 Obama hurt me how? We all have a friend out of work. We all know someone who is struggling with a home loan. Obama didnt have "shovel ready jobs". He cant produce "green jobs". When is someone going to hold this guy accountable.

And lets do a specific. Something very Obama like. A little Chicago way politics...

When Obama was "Saving" GM he made sure that his friends in the UAW kept their health insurance. He didnt care about all the small unions that were part of GM. They were to small to impact his presidency so people lost their insurance in the deal.

Instead of making a lesser deal for everyone, he protected his friends with Cadillac plans and threw everyone else to the curb.

Now you have to give actual evidence to support that or admit you just made it up. Also show me any where where Jesus said to support "religious charities." Also show me anything that suggests Jesus was interested in earthly political power in any way.

Gotta agree with the democrat on this one- just cause he's Jesus doesn't mean he "supported" everything the right does. There is no where- NOT A SINGLE PLACE- where he talks about this sort of thing.

No one is claiming that Jesus would support every point of the right.

What we do mean is Jesus was about people helping people. There is no evidence to say he would support food stamps.
