Ok, it's not SIM baseball.
For some reason this week when I have a free minute I find myself reading film reviews from various sites.
Often when I am online here late night (Italy time - evening US time) I am watching a movie - often one I have already seen, while checking on how my teams are doing, reworking things, or waiting my turn to make a draft pick.
So, here is what I want to know:
What are the movies that you will always watch, or even stay up to watch, no matter how many times you have seen them ?
So, it is not necessarily your favorite movies and certainly not your list of greatest films, just the ones that you find you have to watch or can always watch when they are on, or that you never tire of watching on DVD or some download etc.
Here is my list: (in no particular order)
The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance
The Outlaw Josey Wales
The Lord of the Rings
Saving Private Ryan
The Avengers
Gladiator
King Arthur
Star Trek (the recent one, but likely that I watch any of the Star Trek films if they are on, even though quite a few are not very good)
Any James Bond with Sean Connery or Pierce Brosnan
Casino Royale with Daniel Craig (NOT Quantum of Solace)
House of Games
The Godfather 1 and 2
Any film by Kurosawa but especially Yojimbo, Roshoman, Kagemusha and Ran (these films are never on TV in Italy for some reason, guess Japanese film has not had the same impact here).
From Hell (Johnny Depp's best film)
Witness for the Prosecution
All About Eve
The Searchers
Judgement at Nuremberg
Alice's Restaurant (a film I do not like but feel the need to see every time)
Moby Dick (with Gregory Peck as Ahab - a masterpiece)
Wild Things (don't know why, except I like Neve Campbell's character and who she turns out to be)
And, of course...Bull Durham
Your list ?
