Just give any player that has a yellow line at midterms 5 minutes of study hall for the rest of the semester.  That will automatically keep him eligible.

That's not even close to being true

I know a guy with 125 seasons experience that proves otherwise.

I have plenty of guys that it would make sense to give 0 minutes at the start of their second season and this season when I did they showed up in the yellow. That's the problem with grades, is there is a random element that doesn't make sense

in 140 seasons i have never had a fr @ 4.0, soph @ 3.6 jr @ 3.2 or sr @ 2.8 be yellow when giving them 0 minutes.  you want to know how to keep this from being a problem without really sacrificing anything in the way of growth of your players, and i just told you how.

I don't think, btw, this is a request for help. Most of us know how to keep folks eligible, and if we didn't already, we do after sly's thread. I believe it was just a comment about grades being a lot worse than usual in Iba this term. Was true for me too. Dunno if it's a pattern or an anomaly. I added some more SH minutes and went on with my day

look, the first 25 times you bang a hooker without a condom you might get off without any issues.  that 26th time, you end up with a crack baby and VD.  eventually risky behavior manifests itself

just saying they are yellow doesn't mean anything. yellow at 2.4 gpa is different than yellow and 1.9 for example...
