I don't think it's wrong to fault theeyetest to stop recruiting at that point. If nothing happens from CS he could face missing out on backups. At that point, he might have thought he was beat and changed directions, it happens in recruiting. Props to CS for issuing punishment.

Would it have been nice to know the 1000 mile rule was violated and usernames provided, yes. But i think OP was trying to avoid a pitchfork mob. Screwed either way, ultimately.

he didn't stop recruiting (if you read the original post, he was even talking about his ongoing efforts to CS), and he didn't come cry to the forums about it. I posted it here to see what people, in general, would think about the legitimacy of the actions.

I can see being a bit upset about the situation being resolved while there's still ongoing debate, but how can you disagree with the decision? The guy was obviously cheating.

The situation was not resolved until the second recruit signed, at the 2pm cycle. I wasn't going to reveal any more information until that, and I don't think it's unreasonable. If you do, that's fine.

Without telling people shortly thereafter that the circumstance had been resolved...and that's what makes you a baiting chooch.
