What 's the IQ of a guy like this:

"Defensively, we primarily play halfcourt press/man to man. I'd say he is above average at man to man and above average in the press."

Above average is like C+/B- right?

Isn't there a level higher than that, something like "knows man like an upperclassman" or "knows it so well he could coach it"?

A recruit like this will come in at D+/C- in my experience.

I think if he's a freshman he comes in like this, but if he's a JUCO, it's C+/B-, but it's been a while, so I'm not totally sure.

Agreed. Based on my experience. Freshman C- max. JUCO Soph C/C+. JUCO Jr C+/B-.

This guy was a Jr. JUCO and he ended up being B+/B+.

I had a freshman with this statement:
Defensively, they played mostly a man to man defense. Nothing remarkable about his knowledge of the man to man. 

And he was a C
