I'm trying to better understand turnovers and why the occur, and am looking at a spreadsheet for my D1 team which tracks turnovers per minute played. Not surprisingly
my PG and
backup PG lead the way with the highest rates (0.1 and 0.09 TO/min respectively), which I guess can be expected due to the nature of the position. My
starting SG (0.075 TO/min) and
SF (0.077 TO/min) have lower turnover rates, despite lower BH/P ratings.
I guess my question is, how much higher turnover rate do you tolerate at the PG position, just due to the nature of the beast? My starting PG averaged 2.5 TO/Game this season, which seemed pretty reasonable to be. What would this translate to if the player were started at SG instead of PG?
