if they ever did the American, no way they have A+ teams and D+ teams. the worst teams would be at least C+, I'd think, if only for competitive play in the game. no one would ever take a D+ East Carolina team playing in the same conference with A+ teams.
You make a good point.  I did that so the entry level of coaches would be easier for Jobs.  Those schools maybe should be C at the lowest point.  Because who really wants to Coach Tulsa, East Carolina besides the fact that they are in a Power Conference.

Seriously why is everyone giving GT, Wake Forest, and Boston College such good baselines?  They suck
9/29/2015 7:56 PM
How was rutgers a B? Show of hands, who was alive last time rutgers made the tourney?

Providence and Pitt being the same? C'mon.

No way GTown should be better than Ohio State. Patrick Ewing was a long time ago and other than the final four run 8 years ago they've been AWFUL in the tourney while OSU has had a few deep runs.
9/29/2015 8:23 PM
Also agree that Florida must be an A+. There's zero argument against it.
9/29/2015 8:24 PM
The argument against ,Florida is that it is a football school in the SEC. This is the problem with prestige. You cannot qualify it. In my mind Florida is an A but not a +. Why? Because that is what my gut tells me. It's like porn. I know it when I see it.

I have no problem with Pitt and Providence being the same. Despite GTown not being great they still get recruits and isn't that was prestige really is
9/29/2015 9:12 PM
Well I'd think prestige would be determined by your success on the court, not by the recruits you get. Isn't that what we are talking about here? If you do well and go to the NT and make deep runs you should have a higher prestige than a team that rarely make the tourney and when they do can't get past the 1st round.

Providence hasn't won a tourney game since 1997. That's almost 20 years! So in HD, if you make the NT 4 times with zero wins in 18 seasons, you should be a B+?
9/29/2015 9:21 PM
If that is all prestige is why is ,Indiana or UCLA an A+? Prestige in this game is about winning, but baseline is based on real life and in real life prestige is about more than just that. We can argue abut how it should be in HD but f we are hang the real world to set a baseline it's about a lot more than just winning.

UConn gets screwed hard if they get moved out of the Big East, so as a UConn coach I am emphatically against this.
9/29/2015 11:02 PM
San Diego State needs to be higher.
9/29/2015 11:53 PM
If we are talking about the past 10 seasons Ohio State has to be an A+ theres very few teams with a better track record and most of those are blue bloods.

278-93 .749 win%

3 30+ wins seasons

4 CT Champs

5 regular season champs

Runner Up, F4, E8, S16, S16, 2nd, 2nd, 1st, 1st, NIT Champ

If I take off my homer goggles I could see an A if there is sub 10 A+ programs

UCONN still has a A+ and they did get screwed hard they are now in the American Athletic conference but it is considered a Major Conference. I feel the lower schools prestige should be higher. That would be a compromise.
